Fringe Benefits (or lack of.....)

I love my hairdresser, I really do. He gave me this wonderful haircut 3 weeks ago and I've already had my new fringe trimmed as my hair grows very quickly..
And it's in my eyes again already.
I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't actually have a fringe as it is becoming rather a faff.
And I washed my hair this morning and already my fringe looks like it's been at the gym (without me)
So I need a decent dry shampoo!

So, purely for research purposes I thought I'd review some.
I've tried these in the past months:

Klorane Oat Milk Dry Shampoo
Was quite pricey for the small amount in the tin but worked well. I got a good result from this one. But £9 is a bit steep....

Aussie Dry Shampoo for coloured hair
The top broke on second use and leaked gas in the bathroom so that went in the bin! Didn't mop up much oil either.

Batiste Original Dry Shampoo
Pineapple scented, well it might be ok if you're a teenager but when you're an old hag like me, it was no good smelling like the Body Shop, and it left visible residue!

Batiste Light and Blonde Dry Shampoo
Well at least it wasnt scented like the original. The 'colour' that's included is a bit odd, IT'S YELLOW!, I'm not sure how it's supposed to work, apparently you can use it to hide your roots?
I'll try that next week when they will really be showing, (as my hair grows so fast) and I'll report back.....

VO5 Refresh Me Quick Dry Shampoo
Pink container was pretty, but didn't work at all, not a drop of oil was mopped.

Tresseme Instant Refresh Dry Shampoo
Was quite good! Smelled nice! But it didn't last, my fringe, by lunchtime, was attractively clumped together. Grr.

So I'm back to washing just the top of my hair! If that makes me a 'minger' so be it!
I might try talc this week......

These are "go-to" products...unusual ones!

Superdrug sell a very cheap hair oil called Got2be. It's usually on offer. I use this before bed if I'm washing hair in the morning (can't venture out of house without washing it off, believe me!)

The next one always found in my hair is a sadly discontinued product from Redken called All Soft Velvet Whip. This is witchcraft in a bottle, I tell you. My overprocessed hair adores it and it doesn't weigh it down!
I have a "saved search" on Amazon and eBay for this (and a little stockpile at home)

The next one that was a lifesaver for my hair was by John Frieda. He made an amazing range back in the late 90's called "Beach Blonde" and I had everything from the range,  it was that good! The one thing left from those days is 'Shine In The Spotlight Glosser' (which is basically silicone in a tube), I achieve shiny hair but greasy and weighed down very quickly. Trick with this is to apply to properly wet hair, not damp and to blow dry straight away. Or to apply to wet hair, don't brush through, don't touch at all and I get very nice, defined waves.
As I'm a habitual hair-fiddler this is difficult....

First foray into the tinterweb world of blogging....

What's the idea of a tall and wavy blog?
Well I'm almost 6 ft and have heaps of wavy hair.

There, so this is my research into all things above average leg length, body length (and shoe length), my remarkable eBay obsession with biker boots and oh, did I mention the hair??

Rather long, with a remarkable tendency to resemble a bush if it wasn't for the good old GHD's and Corioliss tools of the hide-my-curly-hair trade.
Oh and I have rather a lot of products in my bathroom, purely for research purposes you understand,  that I have invested in. To try and iron out this mane!
